I’m interested in understanding our conscious visual experience of the world. Specifically, how the brain achieves the various perceptual constancies that keep our view of our environment stable. My PhD research seeks to untangle the neural underpinnings of what drives phenomena like size constancy that have long eluded being fully understood. My projects pair classic ideas and theory with modern methodological approaches and technologies to shed new light on this area of neuroscience.
