I am an Honours student under the supervision of Dr. Philippe Chouinard. My interest in neuropsychology is concerned with how illusions can reveal inaccuracies in perception, and the potential ways this can be used to further understand and communicate aspects of psychopathology. This year my research will entail testing susceptibility to the Poggendorff Illusion by varying exposure time between short and long, and seeing whether these effects are affected by autistic traits. I am hoping the findings can fill a gap in the literature, which seems to be unclear on the relationships between top-down processing, illusion susceptibility, and autistic traits.
